The Alpina S-Way VL+ has a large spherical panoramic lens and offers an enormous field of view with maximum protection. With the high-end Varioflex lens technology, the Alpina S-Way VL+ is an outstanding sports spectacle for all light and weather conditions. The lens adapts the lens tint optimally to the lighting conditions (photochromatic), is bright when it is cloudy outside and dark when the sun shines. It covers the protection areas Cat. 1 to 3. Fogstop prevents the window from fogging up. With the inclinable and deformable temples the glasses can be adapted individually to the face form. Best protection. At any time. This is what the Alpina S-Way VL+ offers.
Varioflex is a disc technology in which the tint of the disc automatically adapts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromic) screen reacts to visible light. When irradiated, chemical elements open and produce a flat, darkening effect. If the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the disc becomes brighter again. This process takes place in a matter of seconds. The result: one disc for the most varied lighting conditions.
Fogstop is a coating on the inside of the lenses. The coating is not smooth, but rough - even "fissured" on a microscopic level. As a result, the droplets have no possibility of forming a closed layer, i.e. fogging up and thus obscuring the view. This would only happen if the moisture managed to fill the fissures with water. Before this happens, however, the deposited moisture has long since condensed and visibility remains clear.
Coldflex is a specific material that is used at the temple ends of the glasses or at the nostrils. It can be individually adapted to the shape of the face or nose. This results in an optimal fit of the glasses.
Heavily curved lenses optimally enclose the face. They protect the eyes from draughts and cold and improve vision. The indirect air flow also prevents fogging of the lenses.
Clear, distortion-free vision through decentered windows.
