As propulsion becomes ever more efficient and the robustness of components also allows more and more technically demanding descents, decelerative performance must not be left behind. The new M7000 brakes of the SLX follow the "Rider Tuned" principle and can be optimally adapted to the terrain, riding style or personal preferences of the rider. The ergonomic Servo-Wave brake levers, among other things, are responsible for the high braking performance with low operating forces. The BR-M7000 brake calipers can be equipped with resin or metal linings with or without cooling fins to further customise the system. An integral part of the brake system are also the new SM-RT70 Ice-Tech brake discs, which are available with a diameter of 160, 180 or 203 mm and contribute significantly to the excellent heat dissipation of the M7000 brakes.

One Way Bleeding The one-way vent is designed to quickly and easily prevent air from entering the hydraulic system. The one-way brake fluid line path together with the mineral oil filling funnel provides clean, trouble-free bleeding.
Servo Wave Action The servo-wave brake lever takes up a lot of braking distance at the beginning of its movement, so that the linings can be guided to the brake disc with little lever travel. The power transmission factor increases rapidly after the brake lining has been applied. The greater part of the lever travel is thus still available to increase the braking force and to dose more precisely.
